When organising events, prayer accommodation is often left to the last minute. This results in having inadequate set-ups and prayer not being given the importance it is due. This design proposes a pop-up mosque that can be folded and unfolded within minutes. It’s the perfect structure to ensure worshipers fulfil their duties in any place at any time.

While being a pop-up mosque, it features main elements of a normal mosque; a shaded praying room and a minaret, to perceive the prayer place from a distance. The structure is made of several modular pieces that can be assembled together easily, then disassembled and transported in the back of a truck to another place.

A pop-up mosque matches the mobility and the spontaneity of community interaction and spiritual practice.

The space becomes temporary and portable. It adapts to each communities' needs and schedule, in space and time. This design embodies the essence of islamic worship; incorporating prayer into daily lives by having a proper place to pray anywhere. Being an open space, the event that is taking place underneath is welcoming and visible to the eyes of the passers-by. Blending with the existing environment, this open structure provides closure yet having no physical boundaries.
